I am thinking about having an Order sponsored activity in the beginning of February, something for Valentine's Day.

Here are some of my ideas:
- A Hogwarts is Home wide game
- Maybe having a thing where people can "leave some love" for others. Like what they had for Halloween with the Trick or Treat

What do you gys think about this? Do you have any ideas, suggests and/or comments? I would love to have the Order active this term. In this group we have a lot of active members of HIH and people who really care about this community and I would love to take advantage of that fact. :) Let's make this the best term ever!!

Ok...I know that you guys are getting tired of only me posting. I have been Order Mod for 2 days so far and this is my third post.

I know in the past it has only really been the mod posting in this community, but this is also your community. We are a small group of 21 members (well...once we get all the posts filled). We are a group of people that are active in HIH and care about the communuty and that is why we are all here. We basically want what is best for Hogwarts is Home as a whole.

So if you have any problems, need help, suggestions or just want to get something off your chest please make a post in the Order and we will try to help out or at least offer an ear. Also if you have any ideas of any activities that you would like the Order to sponsor please also make a post too. I love hearing people's ideas. You don't have to pass it by me first before you post about it here.

The most important thing is that I want everyone to have fun and get to know each other.

Term XIII Application Post!

This is the application for those who wish to join the Order of the Phoenix at hogwartsishome . At the maximum, there should be 4 members from each house, the Order Mod, and a mercenary member for each house. See the userinfo page for more information on each member type.

By completing this application I both acknowledge and affirm that:

• I have been sorted into a house at Platform 9 3/4.
• I am a member of both the main community (HiH) and my house common room.
• I have been a member of HiH for at least 1 month.
• Membership within The Order is a privilege, and not a right, granted by those in charge.
• If granted membership I am expected to complete weekly assignments in an efficient fashion.
• I understand that if I miss three consecutive assignments without requesting an exemption or a hiatus, my membership within the Order may be revoked.

This is where the Members of the Order can request exemptions for past, present, and future assignments. If the application is being submitted for a past assignment, then it should be submitted no more than 4 days past the assignment being posted and not after the end of the week long time period given to complete the asignment. If you must wait any longer, then you should submit a hiatus form. Once submitted, they will be looked over ASAP, and approval or denial will happen no later than 2 days after the post.
(So pretty much, this is saying that if you still want to get the 15 points at the end of the month, but are too busy to do an assignment, submit one of these babies and you will be excused is you have a decent reason.)

By completing this form I both acknowledge and affirm that:

• Exemptions are a privilege, and not a right, granted by The Order Mod.


• Three straight exemptions (three back to back assignments) will equate to one strike, and three strikes will result in termination of membership within The Order.


• You cannot have back to back (two missed assignments in a row) exemptions and still get the month's points.


• Abuse of this privilege can/will result in termination of membership within The Order.
